GTA 5’s stutter is a real thing, as you can see it is the most irritating thing in the game, after two days of searching, I discovered that the problem is mainly caused by excessive use of paged files (default Virtual RAM RAM), usually people will say like increasing the page file Ram from your storage will rUN THE GAME SMOOTH, but the actual thing is wrong it’s right that if you increase the page file for Ram from storage it will improve your FPS and it will want like in your game but, usually people suggest maximum paging files to a higher value to run GTA 5 on PC Now, this causes stuttering, as the game depends entirely on paged files from your hard drive (HDD). If you want proof, run the game in windowed mode and run the task manager behind you. The game will notice when you will use 100 or 90% of your hard drive, the game will interrupt(Shutter).

- Intel (R) Core (TM) i5-4210U CPU @ 1.70GHz 2.40GHz
- 4.00 GB RAM
- 64-bit operating system
- NVidia Geforce GTX 820M (2 GB graphics)
Fix # 1
The fix is simple, balance the paging files so that the game is not completely dependent on your hard drive.
- Right-click on My Computer or This PC and select properties.
- Select Advanced System Settings
- Under the Performance tab, click Settings
- Go to the Advanced tab and click on the Change … tab
- Uncheck Automatically manage paging file size for all drivers and select the hard drive partition on which the game directory is located.
- Select the custom size and set the Initial size to 2048 and the Maximum value to 3000.
This worked for me, if it doesn’t work for you you can set the size of the paged files a little higher but make sure not to set it above another 6000 degrees it will stutter.
If your RAM has that usable tag on it then just set this higher than 6000.
Example: -4 GB (3.50 GB is usable) This can cause problems with 4 GB for gamers so you will have to fix this as well, just search on the internet to fix this problem.

Gta 5 Lag Fix Steps.. Follow The Steps
- Open your GTA 5.
- When starting the game, go to settings and select graphics settings.
- Under DirectX, change the value to DirectX 10.1 or 10 (depending on your system specification)
- Change the texture quality to High or Very High (it depends on your system specifications, I suggest very high if yours is good)
- Restart GTA 5.
